As a diverse congregation with a rich variety of musical gifts, First Christian Church offers many ways to enjoy listening to songs of praise… and making them!

First Christian Church Charlotte Music Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir

Rehearsal Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Rehearsal Location: Choir Room, behind the Sanctuary

The Chancel Choir provides anthems and service music for the worship services as well as offering special music for church observances such as Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Christmas and many others. This group is open to all who wish to raise their voices in praise to God. There are no requirements, just a strong desire to sing with a group of like-minded Christians.

Joyful Noise Children’s Choir

Rehearsal Time: Sunday mornings, during Children’s Church
Rehearsal Location: Education Building

What a blessing this group is to our congregation! This is where the music program at First Christian Church starts. Children are able to come together, sing praises and learn about those songs from church leaders. There are no requirements to sing with this group and it is open to all children.

From time to time during the church year, small ensembles may sing for special occasions or during a worship service. This is the opportunity for individuals or groups to try something new. What a blessing it is to stand before the congregation and see them looking back at you smiling know that you are presenting the love of God to them.
